AmeriCorps VISTA

In partnership with the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), New York Campus Compact (NYCC) is pleased to announce the availability of AmeriCorps VISTA awards for the 2011-2012 grant year.

NYCC has been partnering with CNCS since 2003 in order to assist member campuses in increasing the number of faculty and students making a difference through volunteer service and service-learning. The NYCC VISTA program enables colleges anduniversities to better respond to pressing issues facing low-income communities by improving the quality of and capacity for campus-community service. With an AmeriCorps VISTA member, campuses are able to build partnerships with nonprofit community organizations to mobilize intellectual, human and material resources and address community-identified issues of concern.
