MLK Day of ServiCE
Iowa Campus Compact is announcing its application for funding for the 2016 MLK Day of Service Community Partnership Project. The mini-grant project is focused on supporting service that alleviates hunger and supports veterans. All National and State Campus Compact members are eligible to apply for mini-grants ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 to support MLK Day of Service projects in these areas.
New York Campus Compact will be managing the Eastern Region projects/mini-grants (Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, US Virgin Islands, Vermont, Washington D.C.)
Interested applicants can view the application here. Applications are due by midnight on Friday, September 30, 2016. Applicants will be notified no later than Monday, October 17, 2016.
Iowa Campus Compact will host two technical assistance webinars at 11:00 AM EST on Monday, September 12, 2016 and 3:00 PM EST on Monday, September 26, 2016. Individuals and organizations interested in apply for a mini-grant are strongly encouraged to register and attend one of the webinars. Both webinar will be recorded and made available on the program website shortly after.

The MLK Day of Service Community Partnership Project will be managed with three other State Campus Compact partners: Campus Compact of the Mountain West, New York Campus Compact, North Carolina Campus Compact, and Wisconsin Campus Compact. Our coalition expects to distribute at least 50 mini-grants. Total project costs - including matching and in-kind funds-are expected to exceed $450,000.
